I’m consumed with work right now, and taking steps to avoid burn out. Those steps, unfortunately, involve doing extra immediate work to get things back to a manageable level. I’m tired, but moving forward. Also have the Thanksgiving plan in place, which is good.

An article I just saw this morning by David Wallace-Wells suggests that we are moving away from a ‘climate apocalypse’ scenario. Given that he is one of the authors who rang the apocalypse bell the hardest, I am somewhat hopeful that he may be right. My own record in trying to reduce climate change has been a mixed bag, and I’m trying to do what I can. But I haven’t eliminated my biggest contributor, that being my automobile. Also I eat out too much. I’m trying to keep both under control.

The good news is, if we’re not actually heading for a climate apocalypse, I can feel like increasing my efforts will actually help. I can do better.

In other news, I think I’ve recovered from my double vaccination. Now I get to prepare for a tooth extraction and later dental implant. Life is such joy?
