The Oxford Dictionary has chosen “goblin mode” as the word of the year. Don’t worry, I hadn’t heard of it, either. It means a person who is excessively slovenly and lazy, and apparently spiked as the pandemic subsided this year.

But isn’t this more of a phrase than a word? I suppose if anyone would know the answer to that, it would be the Oxford Dictionary. Unless they are in goblin mode.
