After the results came in, I have come to the conclusion that the most disappointing thing for me was that our longtime attorney general has lost to a Republican. No, that’s not the most disappointing thing. The most disappointing thing is that so many Republicans are gleefully spurning democracy, and those election deniers are not thoroughly routed, especially here at home.
But the attorney general thing bothers me, because Republicans are there to wreck the system from the inside. Or, if they are not, they enable Republicans who do. Our attorney general’s office is good, and I don’t want to see it wrecked.
Anyway.
Thanksgiving looms large for me, as there’s a lot of things happening between now and then that my bandwidth is going to be taken up. But that means I need to focus, every day. Like that’s anything new.
